Our therapists are qualified and experienced in pregnancy massage, both remedial & relaxation.
- Is it safe?: Yes, pregnancy massage is safe during the second and third trimesters. A massage will only effect your pregnancy as much as a walk or hot shower would, but will have huge benefits. Massage is safe all the way up to the day you're due.
-What are the benefits?: Reduce pain, reduce fluid retention, improve posture, relax body & mind, chill time (take time out just for you!).... There are many benefits to pregnancy massage. Most commonly we treat sore hips, lower back and shoulders associated with carrying a baby.
- How is it done?: We have Belly Pillows (see pic) that are specially designed to cushion and distribute your body and belly so that you can lay face down to receive your massage. There are two different sizes to keep you comfortable from the first to the last trimester.
Alternatively, we can lay you sideways with pillows supporting and plenty of towels to keep you comfortable.
